Shiraz California Dreamin’ was invited to compete with the top
dogs from around the World in the Eukanuba World Challenge…and
compete he did! Harley was selected Runner-Up World Challenge Winner
under esteemed judge Frank Sabella! Congratulations, Nicklas and
Ingunn, on an incredible accomplishment!!!!

It was a VERY exciting time for Shiraz Salukis at the AKC Eukanuba
National Championship show! Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver “Eve” was
selected Best of Breed and Best Bred by Exhibitor under judge Joan
Anselm, and litter brother, Harley, was selected Winners Dog and
Best of Winners for a Major! What a thrill to win these honors from
among the top Salukis in the Nation!

December 6:
Ch. Shiraz California Dreamin’ “Harley” was shown at the Malibu
Kennel Club Show and won Best of Breed under judge Kent Delaney and
Group 1st under judge Joe Walton. This was quite an
accomplishment as most of the top Hounds in the nation were
competing at this venue in preparation for the upcoming AKC Eukanuba
National Championship show! Congratulations, proud owners-handlers
Nicklas and Ingunn Eriksson!

November 7th-8th
In Denmark, two big allbreed shows were held this weekend, with
a total amount of 7000 dogs. On the first day Harley, Multi BIS
Int Nord Sl Ch NV-07 WW-09 Shiraz California Dreamin'
won BOB and was group first under Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel, from
Germany. Dk S Ch Qirmizi Hadiye al Feisal won the CACIB and is
now international champion as well.
On Sunday, at the Danish Winner show Coco,
Int Nord Fin Ch Qirmizi Hermione and Harley won BOS and
BOB under Lotte Jørgensen, from Denmark and achieved the new
title Danish Winner 2009 (DKV-09). Lotte Jørgensen later gave
Harley the group and in the Best in Show-final, judged by
Ferelith Somerfield, from England Harley went Best in Show!!!!!
This was Harley's ninth allbreed BIS in 2009.

November 1st
At the big allbreed show in Växjö, Sweden today, Multi BIS Int
Nord Sl Ch NV-07 WW-09 Shiraz California Dreamin' won the
breed and a strong group under Per Iversen. In a fantastic
BIS-final, with all the top winners, judge Ove Germundsson, from
Sweden awarded Harley the most prestigious ribbon: Best in
Show!!!!! The entry was almost 4800.

31:
Eve was again awarded Best of Breed at the San Gabrial Valley
Kennel Club show under judge James White.

25:
At the Kennel Club of Riverside, Eve was again awarded Best
of Breed under sighthound specialist judge Dennis Gallant. Shiraz
Khasaad was awarded Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best of
Opposite Sex! Special thanks to Mike for another great job of
handling in the breed ring!

At the Kennel Club of Riverside, Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver “Eve”

Shiraz Dance the Dream “Ginger” was awarded Winners Bitch and
Best of Opposite Sex to achieve her AKC Championship at the Cabrillo
Kennel Club Show under judge Ralph Ambrosia. Congratulations, proud

October 9th and 10th
At the World Dog Show in Bratislava, Slovakia Multi BIS Int Nord
Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won the winner title,
WW-09 under Espen Engh from Norway. The day after he won the breed
and became new Slovakic champion. He was also group second under
Mchael Canalizo from USA.

October 4th
Harley, Multi BIS Int Nord Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin'
won his 12th Best in Show this weekend. This time with Ingunn in
the other end of the leash. It was an international allbreed show in
Sundsvall and the breed was judged by Jurate Butkiene, from
Lithuania. She also judged the group, while Annika Ulltveit-Moe,
from Sweden judged the BIS final. The entry was 2800 dogs.

Shiraz Dance the Dream “Ginger” was selected Winners Bitch
and Best of Opposite Sex under judge Dr. Daniel Dowling at the

the Burbank Kennel Club Show under judge Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna!
Kudos to Mike for stepping in and showing Khasaad so well in the

September 6th
Harley, Swe Dan Norw Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin'
won another allbreed Best in Show today in Högbo, Sweden. Judges
were Richard Paquette, Canada in breed and BIS and Gerard
Jipping, from Holland in the group. The entry was over 3100.
This was Harley's 11th BIS and his seventh this year.

BIS/MBISS Ch. Enchanted
Shiraz Dreamcatcher, JC ("Sedona") was awarded Best of Breed at
the Mensona Kennel Club Show under Judge Ray Filburn, Jr. Mr.
Filburn also awarded Sedona's daughter, Shiraz KhanD'lyla,
her first MAJOR points by winning Winners Bitch and Best of
Winners.....AND littermate Shiraz Kharish was awarded Winners
Dog! It was an exciting day for Sedona and her lovely SedonaKhans!
Special congratulations to Cindy Taylor and Brian Barth.....D'lyla's
proud handlers and owners!!!
In Sweden, at the allbreed show in Stockholm, Swe
Dan Norw Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won the
breed and was group first under Nina Karlsdotter, from Sweden.
The Best in Show final was judged by Leif-Herman Wilberg from
Norway, who gave Harley BIS-1. This was Harley's 10th allbreed
BIS!!!
August 22nd
Shiraz Kharish was
awarded Winners Dog at the Mensona Kennel Club Show under Judge
Patricia Gellerman.
August 15th and 16th
We had huge success this weekend as Swe Dan Norw Ch NV-07
Shiraz California Dreamin' won the breed and the group in
Nyköping allbreed show on Saturday and the breed and the group in
Norrköping allbreed show on Sunday. As the BIS-final was arranged on
Sunday for both the shows, Harley couldn't be in both and stayed in
Norrköping, were he was runner-up in Show. The entry was 3500
dogs!!!

August 9th
This was a very exciting day
for Shiraz! At the South Bay Kennel Club Show Judge Anne Bolus
awarded our Eve (Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver) Best of Breed and
Hound Group 1st from among many of the number 1 Hounds in the
country! And in addition to that, Shiraz Khasaad also won
Winners Dog AND Best of Opposite Sex over top ten special
competition! We're VERY proud of our Sedona puppies!

The same day, in Sweden Harley, Swe Dan Norw Ch
NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won his ninth allbreed show
BIS and his fifth BIS this year! At the beautiful show venue in
Ronneby, he was BOB and group first under Mary Jane Eather, from
Australia. In the very exciting Best in Show final, Wera Hübenthal,
from Norway awarded him BIS! There were 2900 dogs entered and Harley
is currently number one all breeds in Sweden.

August 8th
On Saturday, at the allbreed show in Askersund Harley won the
breed and was group third under Dimitris Antonopolous, from Greece.
July 26th
The 2009 American Saluki
Association Celebration was held today in conjunction with the
Lompoc Valley Kennel Club, and it was a very exciting day
for Shiraz! The Judge was Sighthound Speciality Ms. Jocelyne Gagne
from Canada. Ms. Gagne awarded Shiraz Kharish Winners Dog for
a 5-point MAJOR! Proud mother, Sedona, also did quite well.
Sedona won the Veteran Bitch class and went on to receive Ms.
Gagne's first Award of Merit! Sedona also won the Brood Bitch class
represented by Kharish and her son from her Globetrotter litter, Ch.
Shiraz Every Girl's Dream. What an exciting day!'

On Sunday at Ransäter INT allbreed show in Sweden, MultiBIS Swe Dan Norw Ch
NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won his 8th allbreed
Best in Show. He was judged in the breed by Per Iversen, from
Norway. The group was
judged by George Kostopolous, from Greece and BIS by Dr. Göran Bodegård,
from Sweden. There were 3200 dogs entered at this show.

July 24th
At the San Angeles Saluki Club
Specialty show in Lompoc, Breeder-Judge Mrs. Cathy Smith from
Australia awarded littermates, Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver and Ch.
Shiraz Every Girl's Dream ("Kaz"), Awards of Merit. Sedona
also went on to win the Veteran and Brood Bitch classes this day.

July 23rd
At the Saluki Club of America
Western Regional in Lompoc, Breeder-Judge Ms. Tracy Larkin Cox from
South Africa awarded Sedona an Award of Merit from the Veteran Bitch
class! She also went on to win the Brood Bitch class as
well. Special "thanks" to Cindy Taylor for handling Sedona so
beautifully!

July 11th
Harley, Multi Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won Best in
Show second at Tvååker international in an entry of 3800 dogs. The
breed was judged by Ove Germundsson and the group by Åke Cronander.
Carl-Gunnar Stafberg judged Best in Show. Congratulations to Nicklas
Eriksson for his expert handling and conditioning of Harley, and to
Ingunn Solberg Eriksson for her skillful assistance and GREAT
photos!

July 5th
In
Darmstadt, Germany, Shiraz Khahala completed her German Youth
Championship under judge Andre van den Brock. Congratulations to
Lydia Licha and Ute Lennartz, Mata Salamata Salukis, on Khahala’s
stellar perfomance!
June 28th
On a very, very hot day in Borås, Sweden, at the Kennel Club's
all-breed show Nord Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin' won Best of
Breed under judge Knut Fr. Blütecher from Norway, who later gave
"Harley" Best in group. Harley then went on to win
Best in Show over 3400 dogs
under judge Sari Brewster Tietjen from the U.S.! Congratulations,
Nikki and Ingunn!!!! We're VERY proud of you!!!!

June 28th was a very good day
indeed for Shiraz Salukis! Here in the U.S. we had a little brag to
share. Shiraz Kharish was awarded Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and
Best of Breed at the Mount Bachelor Kennel Club show under judge
Luane Williams. At this same show, Mrs. Williams also awarded Shiraz
Angelic Dream (Angie), who was beautifully shown by Thais Anderson,
Winners Bitch! Congratulations, Jak, Kathy, and Thais Anderson!

June 21st
Shiraz Kharish was awarded a major Reserve
Winners Dog at the Clackamas Kennel Club under breeder-judge Yvette
Alley.
June 20th
Shiraz Kharish and his litter sister, Shiraz
Khassandra, were both awarded major Reserve wins at the Clackamas
Kennel Club under sighthound specialist judge Rosemarie Crandall!
Congratulations to Jak, Kathy, and Thais Anderson!

June 19th
Shiraz Khassandra (Khassie) won Best in
Sweepstakes at the Willamette Valley Saluki Club Specialty. The
Sweepstakes judge was sighthound specialist Charles Bagnell.
Khassandra was beautifully handled to this win by Kathy Anderson.
Congratulations, Jak, Kathy, and Thais Anderson on your excellent
care and conditioning of our lovely Khassie!
June 14th
At the all-breed show in Avesta, Sweden, Ch. Shiraz California
Dreamin' (Harley) was Best of Breed under judge Henrik Johansson
from Sweden. Leif Lehman-Jørgensen from Denmark placed Harley fourth
in the Sighthound group. Congratulations, Nikki and Ingunn!!!!
And here in the U.S., Harley's litter brother,
Shiraz Every Girl's Dream (Kaz) completed his AKC Championship by
wining Best of Breed at the Bahia Kennel Club Show under sighthound
specialist judge Mrs. Lee Canalizo! Kaz is now Ch. Shiraz Every
Girl's Dream! We're very proud of our handsome Kaz!

June 13th
Shiraz Every Girl's Dream (Kaz) was awarded
Winners Dog by Saluki specialist judge Mr. Eugene Blake. At the same
show, Kaz' litter sister Shiraz Dance the Dream (Ginger) was awarded
Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed under Mr. Blake.
And even more exciting to report was that Ginger, in her first
appearance in the Hound group which was filled with many of the top
hounds in the country, won a Group 4 under Mr. Blake!
Congratulations to Ginger's fabulous owner/handler Kathy Hawk! We're
VERY proud of you!

won Best in Show at the Swedish
Kennel Club Show in Norrköping, Sweden, under judge Martin Croeser
from South-Africa (breed and group) and Soile Bister (BIS) from
Finland. Huge congratulations, Nikki and Ingunn!!!

June 4th
Today Cindy Taylor and Brian Barth's Shiraz
KhanD'lyla (aka D'lightful D'lyla) won her first AKC Championship
point under judge Mr. Richard Beauchamp in Vallejo, CA.
Congratulations to Cindy and Brian on their expert handling (Cindy)
and conditioning (Cindy and Brian) of D'lyla!

May 24th
Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver (Eve) was awarded Best of Breed over
top ten special competition at the San Fernando Kennel Club show
under judge Mr. Terry Stacy. Mr. Stacy also awarded Shiraz Kharish
Winners Dog! We're very proud of our Sedona puppies!

May 23rd
Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver (Eve) was awarded Best of
Breed over top ten special competition at the Antelope Valley Kennel
Club Show by judge Donald Sturz, Jr. Mr. Sturz also awarded our
Shiraz Kharish Winners Dog and Best of Winners! Our thanks to Eve's
special friend, Anne Bearden (Ahsanu Salukis) for expertly stepping
in to handle Eve in the Best of Breed competition! Later on that
day, Eve went on to win a Group 2 from among many of the top hounds
in the country under judge Mr. Terry Stacy! What an exciting day!

May 17th
Ch. Shiraz Dreamweaver (Eve) was awarded her
first leg of her AKC Junior Courser certificate. She ran the lure
beautifully! We're hopeful she'll receive her AKC Junior Courser
title later this year.
May 16th
Ch. Shiraz California Dreamin' (Harley) won another breed
this weekend in Sweden under judge Agneta Kappers from Sweden.
Harley was also group second under judge Magnus Hagsted from Sweden.
This show was an all-breed show in Hässleholm.
May 10th
At the national all-breed show in Larv, Sweden, Int Nord
Ch NV-07 Shiraz California Dreamin'
won Best of Breed and the Sighthound group under judge Elisabeth
Janzon from Sweden. Qirmizi Hamimah was BOS, with CC.

May 3rd
Shiraz Kharish was awarded Winners Dog, Best of
Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex over top ten special competition
at the Rio Hondo Kennel Club Show under sighthound specialist judge
Mrs. Betty-Anne Stenmark. Shiraz Dance the Dream was also
selected Reserve Winners Bitch by Mrs. Stenmark.

May 2nd

May 1st
On the East Coast of the U.S., Shiraz Salukis
continues to be proudly represented by Jennifer Rimerman's (Allihan
Salukis) Ch. Shiraz Invincible Dream (Max). At the Garden State
Saluki Club Specialty Show, Max was awarded an Award of Merit from
among many of the top Salukis in the U.S by sighthound specialist
judge Steve Kelly. Congratulations, Jennifer
and Leslie Potts, on a fabulous job of presenting and conditioning
Max! We're very proud of all of you!
April 24th
Ch. Shiraz Invincible Dream (Max) was awarded Best
of Breed over many of the top Salukis in the U.S. at the Wilmington
Kennel Club Show by judge Mr. Donovan Thompson. Congratulations,
proud owner Jennifer Rimerman and handler Leslie Potts!
April 12th
In Sweden at the international all-breed show,
Int Nord Ch NV-07 Shiraz
California Dreamin' (Harley)
won the Best of Breed under judge Helen Furber from
Australia. Harley also won the Sighthound group under Marie
Christine Delabelle from Belgium and was Best in Show second under
judge Natalija Nekrosiene
from Lithuania. The entry was more than 4200 dogs! HUGE
Congratulations to Nikki and Ingunn!

Here in the U.S. our Shiraz
Kharish was awarded Reserve Winners Dog at a major entry at the
Western Hound Association Show by judge Ms. Robin Riel. We're very
proud of our young Aga Khan/Sedona boy!

April 11th
In Stockholm,
Sweden, the prestigious Champion of Champion competition was held
this evening, where only the top winners in each group are invited
to compete. Harley progressed all the way to the final round, where
he was second, only beaten by Sweden's Dog of The Year 2008.
HUGE congratulations to Nikki and
Ingunn!!!

April 10th
Shiraz Salukis enjoyed great successes at the San
Angeles Saluki Specialty today! In the morning, sighthound
specialist judge Mr. Thomas Powers awarded our red Aga Khan/Sedona
boy, Shiraz Khasaad, Best in Sweepstakes....and his litter sister,
Shiraz Khaliya, Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes! What a thrill!
Later in the day, sighthound
specialist judge Dr. Goran Bodegard from Sweden awarded Shiraz
Khasaad Reserve Winners Dog by winning the Bred by Exhibitor Class
at the San Angeles Saluki Club Specialty Show! Shiraz Kharish also
won his puppy class and Shiraz Khaliya also placed in the Bred by
Exhibitor class. Our most exciting news of the day was when Dr.
Bodegard awarded Shiraz Dance the Dream (Ginger) Winners Bitch and
Best of Winners! Huge congratulations to Kathy Hawk on a superb job
of handling and conditioning Ginger! You both looked wonderful!!!!


March 15th
Shiraz Dance the Dream (Ginger) was awarded
Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Del Sur Kennel Club show
under judge Mr. Kenneth Tippe! Congratulations, Kathy and Randy
Hawk!
February 21st
Shiraz Khasaad was awarded Winners Dog for his
first point toward his AKC Championship at the Silver Bay Kennel
Club show under sighthound specialist judge Dr. Eric Liebes. We're
very proud of our 11-month old red boy!

February 16th
Shiraz Khasaad was chosen Best in Sweepstakes at
the Central Arizona Saluki Association Specialty Show under judge
Mrs. Nancy Perrell. In the regular Specialty classes, Khasaad placed
4th in the Bred by exhibitor class under breeder-judge Yvette Alley.
Ms. Alley also awarded Shiraz Dance the Dream (Ginger) Reserve
Winners Bitch! Congratulations, Kathy and Randy Hawk!
Sedona, along with her Aga

third consecutive day!
February 14th
Shiraz Khadaan was awarded Best Puppy at the
American Saluki Association Desert Match under breeder-judge Ms.
Melody Odekirk (Noble Salukis). Congratulations, Kathy and Randy
Hawk!
At the Central Arizona Saluki Specialty BIS/MBISS
Ch. Enchanted Shiraz Dreamcatcher, JC (Sedona) was selected Best of
Opposite Sex by sighthound specialist judge Mr. Steven Kass. Keeping
it all in the 'family', Best of Breed was awarded by Mr. Kass to
Sedona's brother from the Storm/Giselle repeat breeding, Ch.
Enchanted Keeping the Flame (Lion). Congratulations, proud owner and
expert handler, Robin Green! Sedona also is shown winning Best Brood
Bitch with Khasaad and Khadaan. Thank you, Anne Bearden and Kathy
Hawk, for assisting in showing everyone!

New Jersey by winning an Award of Merit from among many of the top
Salukis in the nation under breeder-judge Mr. David Miller.

January 25th
Qirmizi Global Intrigue (Mattie), our sweet
Storm/Bianca daughter, "officially" completed her AKC Championship
by winning Winners Bitch, Best of Winners AND Best of Breed over
special competition under sighthound specialist judge Mrs. Nancy
Liebes. This corrected our previous error in tabulating Mattie's AKC
Championship points! What a way to finish!!!! Congratulations to
Mattie's proud breeders, Nicklas and Ingunn Eriksson (Qirmizi
Salukis, Sweden)!
January 5th-6th

Springs Show, our 10-month old Sedona/Aga Khan girl, Shiraz Khaliya,
was awarded Best Saluki Puppy by judge Mr. Ekarat Sangkurakup and
then went on to win a Puppy Hound Group 4th placement under judge
Ms. Charlotte LeVecque! We're VERY proud of our "Princess Khaliya"!
